Find someone, but only after you've finished your work.

Do you ever play mind games with yourself in order to get things done? Like for example: I am so hungry right now, and I really want to go eat lunch, but I have been meaning to start this blog for weeks now. So... I'm faced with a decision. Put off the blog yet again, and eat. Or, not let myself go eat until I have finished this blog. As I suppose is clear, I chose to not let myself go eat lunch until I've finished this first blog entry. Let's hope it doesn't compromise my ability to write well, eh? I probably shouldn't have told you. Oh well... so what to talk about in this, my ever-important first blog entry?!?!~ I wonder. Perhaps I should tell you about one of my hobbies? Yes, I think I shall. My hobbies are wide and varied, but one of my recent favorites is finding people online. Now, I know this sounds creepy, but trust me, it isn't. I'm not talking about finding random people, after all. I'm talking about finding people you've somehow lost along the way - like a good buddy from high school, or in my case, my cousin (there was a family rift over my parents divorcing years ago, and we weren't aloud to talk to each other anymore after that). These sites - Public Records Now - People Search & People Finder Search Engine andPrivate Eye - Find a Person or do a Background Check - have been the most helpful. In fact, now that I've found my cousin, he and I are working to find the rest of the family that got fractured over that stupid fight and bring us all together this summer. Awesome, huh? Of course, basic people finding / public search engine stuff isn't all you can do on those sites. You can do background checks (to see if mom was actually lying about uncle ned's gambling habit that landed him in jail), or easily find unlisted phone numbers. Seriously though - it really is the best way to find a person you've been able to find otherwise online.

Wow... now that I'm done typing that, I'm not even that hungry anymore. Maybe I'll force myself to organize my DVDs really quickly before I go to lunch.

Nah...
